Rapid Response Workshop and Resource Fair for Tyson Workers

Workers affected by the Tyson closure are invited to attend a Rapid Response Workshop on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Vibrant Arena at The MARK, 1201 River Drive in Moline.

The event will connect workers with information and resources to help them navigate their next steps. Information sessions will cover workforce programs, unemployment, health benefits and retirement. Presentations will be provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, American Job Center/IowaWORKS, Illinois Department of Employment Security, and the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration.

Information sessions will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Presentations will be available in multiple languages.

A Resource Fair and Career/Hiring Event will also take place from 12 to 4 p.m. The resource fair will include service agencies, nonprofit organizations, immigrant services, education providers and businesses with open positions in production, maintenance, construction, transportation and other fields.

This event is an opportunity for Tyson workers to learn about available assistance, connect with workforce and community resources, and meet businesses that are hiring.
