Maybe you’re thinking about going back to school. Maybe you’ve been trying to find out what programs or services are available in the Quad Cities, and after opening approximately 47 browser tabs, you’re still not sure where to start.

Good news: You can close some of those tabs.

The Quad Cities Fall Success Fair is happening Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Rock Island Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center Ballroom. And it’s open to everyone.

A Lot of Help, All in One Place

The idea is pretty simple: instead of spending your afternoon driving all over the Quad Cities trying to find the right organization, the organizations are coming together in one place.

You can learn about local community resources, education and training programs, continuing education and scholarships. You can also connect with employers and explore different career options.

And that’s not all.

The fair will also include mental health resources, veterans services and benefits, and resources for older workers and seniors. Those resources can include help with job searching, training, health and other services.

You Don’t Have to Know Exactly What You Need

That’s probably one of the best reasons to go.

You don’t have to walk through the door knowing exactly which program you need, which organization you need to talk to or what your five-year plan looks like. Frankly, if everybody had a five-year plan, we’d all be suspicious.

Sometimes you just need to talk to someone who can point you in the right direction.

The American Job Center, Illinois Department of Employment Security and IowaWORKS are among the organizations and resources represented at the event.

So if you’re trying to figure out your next job, looking into education or training, or simply wondering what kind of help is available in the Quad Cities, stop by the Fall Success Fair.

Thursday, November 12, 2026
11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Rock Island Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center Ballroom

Come with questions. Come because you’ve finally decided it’s time to figure out what comes next.

There’s a pretty good chance someone there can help you find the next step.

You know that moment when you think, “Okay… I need to figure out what I’m doing with my life”?
